Compliance

For the Tokuyama Group, compliance is broadly understood not only to encompass the observance of laws and regulations but also to include adherence to in-house rules and the high standards of corporate ethics expected by society. Recognizing that compliance is integral to corporate social responsibility and internal control, which are essential in management, the company has established a dedicated Risk Management and Compliance Committee.

To ensure that compliance is promoted Groupwide in a tangible manner, we have distributed a handbook containing the Tokuyama Group Code of Conduct, the Responsibility of Senior Management under the Tokuyama Group Code of Conduct and the Tokuyama Group's Five Conscience Clauses to every executive and employee of the Group.

Whistle-blowing System (Helpline System)

Tokuyama has launched a helpline system. Through this system, employees and other persons are allowed to anonymously report or seek consultations regarding compliance violations, including possible violations, within the Tokuyama Group. The system has been designed to prevent any disadvantageous treatment of persons who have made reports or sought consultations.
