Compliance

In 1989, the Tokuyama Group incorporated the pursuit of "Management in harmony with society", as one of the Group's most important management policies, into its Basic Philosophy.

This concept of "Management in harmony with society" is linked with corporate social responsibility (CSR). The Tokuyama Group not only seeks to establish sustainable profitability through the development and manufacturing of products that are both useful to society and sensitive to environmental concerns but also believes that the growth of the Group depends on earning the good will of stakeholders (including customers, suppliers, shareholders, local communities, and employees) and arises through compliance with corporate ethics, observance of laws and regulations, and contribution to the welfare of regional communities.

The most important factors in promoting compliance we think are corporate culture and climate. To infuse the Tokuyama Group with CSR, it is necessary that each officer and employee act always with probity, as a member of the Group and of society, and to maintain a climate of free discourse and openness in the workplace.
