Tokuyama Corporation has decided to expand the capacity of its hydrophobic grade fumed silica production line at Tokuyama Chemicals (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary.

Hydrophobic grade fumed silica is mainly used as a thickening and thixotropic agent in resin adhesives and printing inks. Looking ahead, market growth is expected as production of various industrial products expands in China. Building on the strength of its local production in China, the Tokuyama Group will further reinforce its ability to ensure stable supply and provide technical services to users while raising its presence in the market with this initiative to enhance production capacity.
