New Kashima Plant Facility Construction to Enhance Dental Filling Composite Resin and CAD/CAM Hybrid Resin Block Production Capacity

Tokuyama Corporation's (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku Tokyo; President Hiroshi Yokota) wholly owned subsidiary Tokuyama Dental Corporation (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President: Hideki Kazama) will construct a new facility at the Kashima Factory as described below to strengthen its manufacturing capacity for dental filling composite resin and CAD/CAM hybrid resin blocks.

The new facility at the Kashima Factory is part of the investment plan following the expansion of the raw material processing facility completed in May 2021. The new facility will approximately double manufacturing capacity for product kneading, filling, and packaging to meet strong demand in Japan and overseas.

The Tokuyama Group is accelerating the transformation of its business portfolio raised in Medium-Term Management Plan 2025, and will steadily build and upgrade production systems to increase earnings in the health field.

Overview of the new facility construction plan at the Kashima Factory
  • Location: 26 Sunayama, Kamisu-shi, Ibaraki Prefecture (on the grounds of the Tokuyama, Tokuyama Dental Kashima Factory)
  • Total floor area: Approx. 6,000m2
  • Schedule: Construction to start in April 2023 and production to begin in October 2024
  • Manufactured products: Dental filling composite resin and CAD/CAM hybrid resin blocks
