Tokuyama Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "the Company" or "Tokuyama") hereby announces that it intends to restructure the businesses of Taiwan Tokuyama Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Taiwan Tokuyama") and Tokuyama Taiwan Marketing & Research Center Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "TMRC"), both of which are fully-owned subsidiaries of the Company based in Taiwan, through a business transfer between the two subsidiaries.

This business restructuring will entail the transfer of the sales business for aluminum nitride related products, fumed silica, and other products currently operated by Taiwan Tokuyama to TMRC. Along with this restructuring, TMRC will be renamed Tokuyama Taiwan Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Tokuyama Taiwan") as described below.

As a result of this restructuring, Taiwan Tokuyama will operate as a company specialized in producing and selling high-purity chemicals for electronics manufacturing. This change will also concentrate management resources in order to contribute to the growth and greater sophistication of the market as a semicondcutor supply base for the world. Tokuyama Taiwan will undertake sales of transferred products and business operations for the Vitura health foods brand, which will launchin Taiwan during the spring of 2023, while retaining its research, development, and marketing functions. This initiative will strengthen the presence of Tokuyama Taiwan as the research, development, and sales base for the Tokuyama Group in Taiwan.
