Hard coating solutions for plastic lenses “TS-56 Series"

Product type: Hard coating solutions for plastic lenses
Product names: TS-56H, TS-56T, TS56-WR
Contact: Fine Chemicals Sales Dept.
(+81-3-3597-5107)

Applications (TS-56H, TS-56T)

Hard coating solutions for plastic lenses form a resilient and thin coating that protects lenses from scratching and deformation, when coated and hardened on the surface of lenses. They improve the durability of plastic lenses without degrading their characteristics.

TS-56 is a thermal curing type coating solution available in two grades, the super-hard type TS-56H and the dyeable type TS-56T.

Characteristics

  • Forms a hard coat film
  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Uniform coating of film is attainable
  • Strong adhesion to base material
  • Easy handling with excellent storage stability maintaining a low viscosity

Applications (TS-56WR)

TS-56WR is a water repellant coating solution that can be thermally processed. Plastic lenses with antireflection coatings often are left with water stains after water drops evaporate off the surface. TS-56WR treats the surface of antireflection coatings with a thin film of water repellant, preventing moisture from adsorbing on the surface, and hence leaving no water stains. Lenses with antireflection coatings treated with TS-56WR have long-lasting water repellent effects for the prevention of water stains.

Characteristics

  • Long-lasting prevention of water stains
  • Does not use chlorofluorocarbon for solvent
  • Evenly coated films available
