Based upon a basic policy, "Enhancing the corporate value through creating intellectual property and taking full advantage of it," the Intellectual Property Dept. is in charge of certainly protecting the results of R&D etc. by intellectual property rights as well as implementing thorough risk management to value intellectual property rights of other companies.
Our role is to secure the company's competitive advantage by certainly making the results of technological research and development, which can be said the fruits of accumulated knowledge, into its own rights. And at the same time, we are conducting an intellectual property strategy combined with business strategy and technology strategy in order to make the most of the company-owned intellectual property.
Amid globalizing business environment, the Intellectual Property Dept. will strongly support the creation of new businesses and the strengthening of existing businesses to realize the company's Centennial Vision by strategically securing intellectual property rights including patents both at home and abroad, and work for enhancing Tokuyama's corporate value.
