Adding filler enables enhanced mechanical properties and a reduction of the Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE), while maintaining high transparency.
03
SANSIL™ FA generates micro-scale surface roughness in films, helping to prevent blocking while maintaining high transparency.
SANSIL™ FA is a silica-titania composite oxide, which can control its refractive index.
By adjusting the ratio between silica and titania, the refractive index of SANSIL™ FA can be controlled from 1.46 to 1.60.
Produced by sol-gel method, SANSIL™ FA is spherical particle with narrow size distribution and its paticle size can be controlled from 0.3 to 0.7 μm.

SANSIL™ FA helps maintain resin transparency by matching its refractive index.
When dispersed in a solvent with a refractive index of 1.51, conventional silica or particles with a refractive index of 1.60 appear cloudy. In contrast, particles with a matched refractive index maintain transparency and achieve over 95% light transmittance.
Adding SANSIL™ FA having the same refractive as regin, resin can be improved mechanical strength and get anti-blocking, while maintaining its transparency.
