Tokuyama Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Tokuyama" or "the Company") and Tokuyama Dental Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Tokuyama Dental") today announced details of the decision to include Tokuyama Dental Deutschland GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "TDDG") in the scope of Tokuyama Dental's consolidation as a wholly owned subsidiary effective April 20, 2023 with the intention of accelerating the Group's dental materials and equipment business in Europe. Prior to this inclusion, Tokuyama Dental held a 51% equity interest in TDDG, a subsidiary based in Germany.

Established as a joint venture between Euronda Deutschland GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "EDG"), a German dental materials and equipment sales company, and Tokuyama Dental in February 2007, TDDG has worked to cultivate sales channels for Tokuyama Dental's products in Europe. In acquiring all of the 49% interest held by joint-venture partner, EDG, TDDG has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokuyama Dental in this instance.

Centered on composite resins for dental fillings, Tokuyama Dental's overseas business continues to expand rapidly in all regions worldwide. Within this global network, the European market, with its high income level and global brand recognition, represents one of Tokuyama Dental's most important operating base. The Tokuyama Group's goal is to expand its market share in each country throughout Europe. With the inclusion of TDDG in the scope of Tokuyama Dental's consolidation as a wholly owned subsidiary, the Group will endeavor to expand sales in this important market with a sense of urgency.
