Tokuyama Corporation held an opening ceremony on August 13, 2026, for a new semiconductor-grade polycrystalline silicon plant at TOKUYAMA VIETNAM CO., LTD. ("TVC"), located in the Phu My 3 Special Industrial Park in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the local government, the Japanese government, the industrial park, and construction and equipment-related companies, who gathered to celebrate the opening of TVC. Established by Tokuyama on August 8, 2024, TVC is a wholly owned subsidiary and Vietnam's first company engaged in the production and sale of semiconductor-grade polycrystalline silicon. Against the backdrop of continued growth in the semiconductor market, TVC will help ensure a stable supply of silicon wafer raw materials used in advanced semiconductors and further strengthen the supply chain. The new plant will serve as a key overseas base for the crushing and cleaning of polycrystalline silicon.

Since entering the polycrystalline silicon business in 1984, Tokuyama has supplied high-quality semiconductor-grade polycrystalline silicon to semiconductor wafer manufacturers worldwide. With the opening of TVC, Tokuyama will further enhance its stable supply system in coordination with its production sites in Japan and other locations, while contributing to the development of semiconductor industry infrastructure in Vietnam. TVC will place the highest priority on safety as it proceeds with trial operations and quality verification, and the Tokuyama Group will work to establish a system capable of ensuring a stable supply of high-quality semiconductor-grade polycrystalline silicon.
