Tokuyama Corporation today announced that it has decided to expand production capacity for aluminum nitride powder by constructing a new production facility at the Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology in Japan in response to growing demand. This will be the Company's second production site for aluminum nitride powder, following its existing site at the Tokuyama Factory in Japan.

Tokuyama has manufactured and sold aluminum nitride powder at its Tokuyama Factory since 1985, using its proprietary reductive nitridation process. By ensuring a stable supply of high-quality products, the Company has earned strong trust from customers. The new facility will increase Tokuyama’s production capacity by approximately 30% from the current level, enabling the Company to meet anticipated demand growth and further enhance supply stability. The project will be carried out under a business plan certified pursuant to Japan’s Economic Security Promotion Act for securing stable supply, with commercial operation of the new facility scheduled to begin in April 2028. Tokuyama will continue to strengthen its competitiveness in the advanced materials field while contributing to stable customer supply and enhancing corporate value.
