With regard to the protection of personal information

Tokuyama Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Company") recognizes the importance of protecting the personal information of stakeholders involved with Company, and regards it as an important social responsibility to manage it properly. On behalf of fulfilling this responsibility, Company has established the following personal information protection policy.

Personal information protection policy

1. Compliance with laws and regulations

Company shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and the other relevant laws and regulations, and Company shall handle personal information in accordance with the guidelines which are established by Japanese government agencies.

2. Management system of personal information

Company has established the internal regulations concerning the handling of personal information, and to ensure thorough management, Company has appointed a director as supervisor to unify all the organizations of Company and responsible persons who manage activities of each organization under the supervisor. Company exercises assessment of the management system on a regular basis, and appropriately improve it as necessary.

3. Acquisition and utilization of personal information

Company shall get individual consents again in the event that Company will be necessary to utilize personal information beyond the scope of purpose stipulated at the time of acquiring it.

4. Security control actions of personal information

Company shall take organizational, personal, physical and technical security control actions to protect personal information which Company holds from loss, leakage, falsification, unauthorized access and so on.

5. Request for disclosure, correction, utilization cease, not but limited, of personal information

Company shall respond to a principal's request duly as soon as Company confirms that you are the principal in case that Company is requested to disclose personal information which Company holds, to correct it or to cease utilization of it, not but limited.

6. Provision of personal information to third parties

Company shall not provide personal information which Company holds to any third parties except those cases set forth in the following:
・cases that Company get a principal's consent in advance
・cases based on laws and regulations
・cases in which there is a need to protect a human life, body or fortune, and when it is difficult to obtain a principal's consent
・cases in which there is a special need to enhance public hygiene or promote fostering healthy children, and when it is difficult to obtain a principal's consent
・cases in which there is a need to cooperate in regard to a central government organization or a local government, or a person entrusted by them performing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and when there is a possibility that obtaining a principal's consent would interfere with the performance of the said affairs

Company will revise this policy as necessary in the cases that laws and regulations are amended, not but limited.
